It is not the intention of this paper to make any specific criticisms of particular tourism projects that may be guilty of some of the examples to be mentioned, as we all know of similar cases throughout the region, but rather to address the fact that there are higher principles involved with a long-term partnership between African Diaspora heritage and tourism, principles beyond the requirements of other forms of tourism.
